IoT: LPWAN Networks

This unique online MasterCamp© on IoT LPWAN networks provides a comprehensive overview of the principles and applications of low-power wide area networks. LPWANs are a critical part of the modern IoT landscape, enabling the transmission of data from remote sensors and devices to central servers over long distances using minimal power. In this course, you will learn about the different LPWAN technologies available, their advantages and disadvantages, and how to select the right one for your project.

  • To take this MasterCamp©, you will need a basic understanding of networking and some familiarity with IoT concepts. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and C++ is also helpful.

This MasterCamp© is suitable for anyone interested in IoT, LPWAN technologies, and their applications. Professionals working in fields such as engineering, information technology, and product development will find this course particularly beneficial.

This MasterCamp© includes video lectures, interactive quizzes, hands-on projects, and access to additional resources, including recommended readings and sample code. You will also have the opportunity to interact with other students and the instructor through online discussion forums. By the end of this course, you will have gained a deep understanding of LPWAN networks and the skills necessary to design and implement them in real-world applications

  • By taking this MasterCamp©, you will learn about the principles and applications of LPWAN networks, including the different technologies available, such as LoRaWAN, Sigfox, and NB-IoT. You will also gain insight into the design and implementation of LPWAN networks, including the selection of appropriate sensors and gateways, network planning, and optimization. Additionally, you will learn about the security considerations and challenges of LPWAN networks.

  • Upon completion of this MasterCamp©, you will have gained the skills necessary to design, implement, and manage LPWAN networks. You will also develop a deep understanding of the strengths and limitations of different LPWAN technologies and the ability to select the right technology for your project. Finally, you will learn about the security considerations and challenges of LPWAN networks and be able to implement appropriate security measures.

My Story

I always knew that computer sciences and electronic schools were my vocation. I was so active in challenging projects with space agencies and participated in many hackathons and had awards with my teams. I’m Head manager of the Electronics,
Computer Sciences and Embedded Systems Department at Polytech Sorbonne, engineering school of Sorbonne University.

I manage a department of computer science and electronics for embedded systems. The department has more than 100 students and a team of 20 teaching researchers.
I’m also specialist in the development of embedded systems on software architectures (MPU, MCU, DSP), hardware architectures (CPLD, FPGA) and mixed
architectures (SoC-FPGA or SoPC).
